Industry Day at Eclipse Textiles Office

Presentation of stretch fabric to future designers by Eclipse Textiles

At Charles Parsons, we strongly believe that it is our duty to support the younger generation, transfer our knowledge and experience to them and give them the opportunities to learn. By supporting the students, we support the future of the textile industry in Australia and New Zealand.

Our businesses conduct many student support programmes throughout the year, including training at our accredited laboratory and various student design and textiles awards. We also save all our off-cut fabrics and donate them to a number of Tafes and Universities for project work each year.

One of the most popular and well received student support programmes is Eclipse Textiles Industry Day.

Every year, Eclipse Textiles invite costume design students from the Wollongbar TAFE to our office and present them with our latest fabric collections, and discuss the latest trends and technology in fabrics and garments construction with the students.

The last Industry Day was held only last week at Eclipse Textiles Brisbane office. The students got shown both our stretch fabrics range and our fashion fabric range. We provided every student with a comprehensive sample sets with product information sheets to assist with their up and coming assignments.

The Industry Day again turned out to be a great inspirational day for the students and they all looked like they could not wait to get back to class so they could start working on some new projects with the information provided.

We cannot wait to see what products might eventuate from our Industry Day this year.
