Heimtextil is one of the world’s leading international textile trade fairs. Suppliers, product developers, designers and buyers converge in Frankfurt, Germany for the four-day exhibition, which showcases a huge range of household textiles including bedding, tableware, carpeting, cushions, and – our favourites! – drapery and upholstery fabrics.
Taking place in January, Heimtextil sets the mood for the textiles market for the year. We were pleased to send along our Creative Director Michelle Greeves, who braved the cold and rain sweeping Europe to attend for four days between the 8th and 11th of January.
There was a real atmosphere of excitement and optimism for the year ahead,” says Michelle. “The quality and spectrum of the products in the exhibition was encouraging and I am excited to bring some of the concepts from the show through into our upcoming Charles Parsons Interiors designs.”
One of the highlights of Heimtextil is the trend show, with its four lavishly staged trend worlds that provide inspiration and insights into the upcoming movements in textile fashion. The trend forecasts for 2014 are set under the mottos of Progress! and Revive!, two opposing forces of change.
